The New Canadians Employment Consulting Centre

The National Job Fair & Training Expo is proud to announce the introduction of The New Canadians Employment Consulting Centre at its 13th edition to be held at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre on September 30 and October 1, 2008. Presented in partnership with ACCES Employment, a leader in connecting New Canadians to opportunities in their fields, the consulting centre will be a one-stop shop for New Canadians to begin their job search.

As a new service centre specifically designed for New Canadians, the New Canadians Employment Consulting Centre will offer free individual consulting with knowledgeable employment consultants. At these free 15-minute sessions, New Canadians can learn of the first steps they need to take to begin their job search in Canada.

The sessions will be filled up on a first-come, first-served basis and are available for free to all visitors attending the event. To make use of this outstanding new service, visitors should make sure to attend the event early so that they can avoid long queues at the Centre.

The total visible minority in Toronto represents over 40%. In March 2005, Statistics Canada projected that the visible minority proportion will comprise a majority in Toronto by 2012. The National Job Fair & Training Expo’s attendees has always reflected the Toronto census.

ACCES Employment is a leader in connecting qualified personnel with employers. Each year, over 15,000 job seekers are served at their 5 locations across the GTA. ACCES is a non-profit charitable organization and receives funding from all levels of government, corporate sponsors and the United Way of Greater Toronto.

A long-time exhibitor, ACCES Employment has now joined The National Job Fair & Training Expo's family of official partners. ACCES Employment has not missed a single edition of The National Job Fair & Training Expo since the 6th edition in 2005. This time too, for the 8th consecutive time ACCES will have their own exhibit booth in the Career Services Pavilion to present the entire range of services they provide to job seekers.

By visiting this 13th Edition of the National Job Fair and Expo, New Canadians will find all the services they need to transition into Canada's workforce.
