General information
Group visits
The National Job Fair & Training Expo is pleased to invite your high school / facility to organize a field trip with groups of students to explore careers. The event is made of four main pavilions: Training & Education, Employment, Career Services and Entrepreneurship. Thousands of employment and career opportunities, including education programs, skills training, study abroad opportunities, jobs, career & employment services and entrepreneurship services will be offered onsite. Exhibitors are from Ontario, across Canada and even from abroad.
Why visit the fair
Training & Education Pavilion
More specifically, the high schools students in field trips will benefit from visiting the Training & Education Pavilion, an area where students will meet with various educational facilities interested to speak to individuals from all age groups, including high school students. This Pavilion helps students to make a career choice, to identify their many options for furthering their education, and to discover new career opportunities as well. Exhibitors will offer undergraduate, graduate and post graduate courses. Since exhibitors in the Employment Pavilion are looking for adult candidates with some working experience, it should remain clear that the high schools students will not be their immediate target for hiring at the fair.
Having said that, it will be quite an experience for your students to visit the fair to get a feel of the various components of the employment market. Graduating students in group visits will facilitate their transition to the next stage of their lives and will introduce them with early career success, which is an excellent opportunity to get their foot in the door.
Study and volunteer abroad opportunities
Some educational facilities from abroad will exhibit at the fair to offer study abroad opportunities in different countries such as England, Switzerland, Spain, China and Australia, providing a learning experience in a multi-cultural, safe, and secure environment and exposing the students to a rich, life-enhancing, and exciting career-oriented experience. Visitors will learn how volunteers work with local partners to help children get access to quality education and to help people to get better treatment.
Exhibitors' List
The complete list of exhibitors will be available online a few days prior to the opening of the fair. In the meantime, you can consult the list of Exhibitors in the Spotlight which is accessible and updated regularly.
