General information

Event description

The National Job Fair & Training Expo is Canada's most established, comprehensive and largest recruitment event and Ontario's leading recruitment event open to the general public. The National Job Fair & Training Expo is a multi-sector event presented twice a year, in spring and fall, in a high quality trade show approach.

Aimed at stimulating employment in a dynamic and proactive environment, The National Job Fair & Training Expo brings together the expertise, innovation and know-how of a wide range of organizations from various fields—between 170 to 180 expected —to create thousands of employment opportunities for the benefit of over 10,000 candidates, establishing The National Job Fair & Training Expo as the largest recruitment event in the career industry in Canada.

Our constant growth since our inception, growing  from 34 exhibitors in September 2002 to 157 exhibitors in September 2007—a 462% increase—speaks for itself. The continued growth and development of our event prove that the Ontario job market and business community endorse it and support our mission more than ever.

Unique approach

The National Job Fair & Training Expo has become a model for the recruitment and career fair industry in Ontario as well as in Canada. Innovative ideas, unequalled customer service, special-projects implementation, flexibility, team spirit, an open-minded attitude, integrity and the ongoing development of our relationship with sponsors, partners, exhibitors and visitors—all this pushes the limits of efficiency for quality recruitment and makes our approach unique.

Every year, as many as three out of four exhibitors are renewing their participation and become regulars. In this respect, this is probably the most valuable indication of the efficiency of our fairs. There are good reasons behind this high renewal rate: A professional organization that really cares about its exhibitors's needs and that delivers top quality events.

En route to 200+ participating exhibitors in Toronto

Toronto is the nerve centre—the niche—of The National Job Fair & Training Expo in Canada. We presented our first edition in September 2002 and, five years later, we have entered a new five-year cycle (10-fair period), which has begun with a participation record of 157 exhibitors at our 11th edition in September 2007 (fall fair). This new period will take us to celebrate our 20th edition in 2012.

Through dedicated hard work, our first 12 fairs welcomed a cumulative total of 128,900 attendees/candidates and the number of exhibitors has increased by 462% over that period, which is unparalleled success in Canada. We presented consecutively our six largest fairs ever from the fall 2005 to the fall 2007 editions and we now anticipate another record-breaking fair at the fall 2008 edition.

We reached the first phase of our development plan by presenting an event with the participation of over 100 exhibitors after two years only. Today, the best conditions are in place to achieve the next stage of our development plan well before the end of this new five-year cycle: to present a recruitment event with more than 200 exhibitors!
