About the recruiters
General observations
Before actually meeting with a recruiter in The National Job Fair & Training Expo, take a few moments to watch him or her. There's a lot to be learned from body language:
Did you know that recruiters who stand out in front are likely to be more approachable? They usually want more qualitative information about your background. If they stand up, they tend to be even more proactive in their relationship with candidates.
Recruiters who stand or sit behind their counter are likely to be more quantitative and analytical on their initial approach with candidates before going on to the next level of the hiring process.
Did you know that those who smile are more likely to use a conversational approach with candidates?
On the other hand, recruiters who do not smile are more likely to use a question-and-answer approach. They also tend to be more structured and analytical, which does not means that they are not happy to meet with you!
If you notice that recruiters are talking together, you may ask if they are available to meet with you or if they prefer that you come back in a few minutes.
